Would you like to see better days? We all would like to see better days. Unless you are bent on being miserable. In that case, ask God to help you out of that mindset. There is no reason to punish yourself. Jesus as already paid for your sins. It’s already done. It’s finished work. And because of the finished works of Jesus, you have a right to see better days. God promises you better days, but you have to accept and received that.
God chose you from the foundation of the earth (Ephesians 1:4). He knew you before you were ever conceived in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He desires to be a father to us, and have us as his children. That was his plan all along—we, the Saints, (Christians) are God’s inheritance. (Ephesians 1:18).
Like with any good father, God desires to see his children prosper (Psalm 35:27). The best part of it is that he will equip us with everything we need (Psalms 23, Hebrews 13:21, Galatians 5:22-23). If God told you to do it, that authorizes and empowers you to do it. Stop looking with your natural eyes, and start looking with your spiritual eyes. Don’t be moved by what you see in the natural (Romans 4:17, Psalm 16:8).
He even gives us Jesus’ faith to believe. But it is not automatic. God gave us the gift of free will and he will not force anything on us. We have to agree and realize what God has already done—the finished works of Jesus.
God promised that you have a bright future (Jeremiah 29:11). He didn’t promise it will be trouble-free. We still live in a fallen world. As Children of God, we always win because God is with us (2 Corinthians 2:14). However, it’s God’s plans that will succeed; not the plans that we came up with. We need to be led by the Holy Spirit. So keep that in mind.
Think of Joseph from the book of Genesis (Genesis 37, 39-47). I personally don’t think it was God’s will for him to be sold into slavery. God has infinite ways of getting his plans completed. Maybe if Joseph had been saved from being sold into slavery, we will be thinking how impossible it would be for him to be second in command of Egypt, had he been sold into slavery.
God used the events that happened in Joseph’s life to teach him and prepared him for his real plan—a way to save his people. God made a covenant with Abraham and he kept his promise.
Jesus is the Increase!
Like Joseph and many other people from the Bible, they saw better days from God because they believe (in their hearts) and trusted the Lord, even when their natural eyes said everything was hopeless (Hebrews 11). We can see better days. We can see an increase. Jesus is the Increase! We can see deliverance and healing.
Look forward to each day with joy in your heart (Psalm 118:24). Only confess (speak with your month) what you want. Never confess what you don’t want. Always confess the word of God over anything that you might see in the natural.
